You’re welcome, Paula! My advice is to share what real people have to say about you, your work, your impact in their lives, or about your creations. At the end of the day, who the hell is an “authority” anyway? If you’ve made an impact on somebody’s life in some way (I’m sure you have!) ask them to share a little bit about that for your blog and boom—you have some testimonials 🙂

Hello Ryan i found your post to be very insightful and since I’m learning how to grow my blog. it only seems fitting that i reach out to you. you must get hundreds of such emails and messages a day i know. but i genuinely need your help. Please help me figure out what to do with my blog. i don’t have any idea on what to do with it and where to go from the spot i am in.

I just want to thank you for this post. I’m close to launching my new blog and I’ve been stuck in a heap of information that I though should be in my About Me page. It didn’t seem like an important part of my blog and I couldn’t figure out why it was so difficult to figure out how to write it. Today I took several hours to read through this post and teasing out or clarify the info that I really do need. You have confirmed a few ideas, but in every way improved them; helped me see that they were more of a distraction than a benefit or taught me what I didn’t know that I din’t know. You explained everything so clearly and offered so many additional tips that I now have a huge appreciation for the importance of investing in my About Me page. I feel like I should send you a check for the personally tailored private session. I also feel completely unstuck and I’m excited to finalize my About Me page.
